Introduction

Castle Of Doom is a partial conversion Mod that turns classic Doom or any of it's classic sequels into the ultimate Heretic/Hexen experience. As the name implies it transforms Doom from a Dark Sci-Fi setting into a Dark Fantasy setting, replacing Doom's elements with that of Heretic/Hexen universe such as weapons, items, power-ups, enemies, props and textures. The Mod adds some rogue-like elements to the mix, randomly generating elements from the Heretic/Hexen universe yet keeping the level structure intact.

Focus of the Mod

Playing Castle Of Doom is like playing a new chapter in the Heretic/Hexen universe spiced up with some rogue-like elements, the starter weapons, pickable weapons, power-ups and enemies are all randomly generated so you never know what to expect. Castle Of Doom is designed so that it could be used with any maps Mod â€‹as long as the Mod is only adding maps else there might be some undesired results. The fact that Castle Of Doom has some rogue-like  elements and that it can be used with almost any maps Mod created by Doom's massive modding community prolongs it's replay value, keeping it fresh and fun every time and every run.
